The promise of fresh game releases for next year is already bursting at the seams. 2023 offers it all, from revisiting classic games in the form of remakes to venturing into fascinating worlds in daring new releases.

Of course, we would only be your go-to source for gaming news and entertainment if we had strong feelings about what we're most thrilled about. Read on to check out our most anticipated games of 2023!

1. Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League

Source: Thegamer.com

Release date: May 26, 2023.

What was the most anticipated game of 2022 for many gamers has now become the most anticipated game of 2023, as it has for many others this year. Suicide Squad: Execute The Justice League should have arrived by now. Lessons have been learned from games released prematurely in recent years. Even though you feel like you’ve been waiting a lifetime to thump an evil Superman with Harley Quinn's bat, you'd rather wait for the best version of it than a rushed one that would let you down in the end.

Rocksteady has never let anyone down in DC games, so anticipate the upcoming one, which would be even greater than Spider-Man 2 and Wolverine.

Put a superhero in a game, and a gamer would certainly be going to buy it. Thus, the next few years will be tough on many gamers' pocketbooks. As eager as I am to wait, I truly hope Kill The Justice League does not become a gamer's most anticipated game of 2024.

2. Persona 3

Release date: January 19, 2023,

Yet another game from the Persona series will be available this year on PC. Persona 3 Portable is the third game to receive an official port, following Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royale. Of course, this is yet another Teen Sleuths' modern fantasy party and one of the series' stranger ones.

Characters in P3 summon their Personas by shooting an imaginary "Evoker," which is not a gun, at their heads. Other than that, Persona 3 continues the RPG series' tradition of time management, intrigue, and high school antics.

3. Forspoken

Release date: January 24, 2023

Forspoken is an action RPG that follows the journey of Frey, a young New Yorker transported to the beautiful and cruel land of Athia.

Frey navigates the expansive realm of Athia by skating, jumping, and wall running while using a magical bracelet and some powerful magical skills.

When Forspoken was unveiled, it made a strong first impression because of its attractive appearance, but a later trailer's incessant chatter left a less favorable impression. We'll see how the two combine when they finally reach your screens.

4. Dead Space Remake

Release date: January 27, 2023

The original Dead Space from 2008 still looks and performs well. Among the next-gen dazzlers of 2022, its art design greatly keeps it looking new. The developer, EA Motive, has found the most room for improvement in Dead Space's margins and minute aspects, even though it is yet another classic game receiving the complete remake treatment.

Despite how well gamers believe the original is still playable, it is unquestionably nothing compared to what EA Motive demonstrated for the media during our extensive preview of the impending remake.

The USG Ishimura, the setting for Dead Space, has been revived, hissing, and more ominous than ever. The Ishimura is the most unwelcoming spacecraft in the world, and seeing this rust-colored behemoth in greater detail is astounding.

5. The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

Released date: May 12, 2023.

The latest installment in the iconic gaming series is Nintendo's next action-adventure game, Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. The sequel to Breath of the Wild has received a lot of interest recently, thanks to Nintendo's publication of a second trailer and the name of the upcoming game during the Nintendo Direct broadcast on September 13.

Zelda fans are certainly speculating about any hints about what this game could be about. Here's all we know so far about Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Many fans were dismayed that the release date had been pushed back from 2022 to 2023. But we just got the first specific release date, so let's hope Nintendo sticks to it and doesn't postpone it again.

6. Street Fighter 6

Steampowered.com

 Released date: 1 June 2023

Capcom's newest rival has arrived! Street Fighter 6 will be released worldwide on June 2nd, 2023, representing the series' next evolution. The Street Fighter 6 experience spans three game modes: World Tour, Fighting Ground, and Battle Hub, and Capcom's proprietary RE ENGINE powers it.

Play as famous masters and new fan favorites, “including Ryu, Chun-Li, Luke, Jamie, Kimberly, and more in this latest edition, which has beautiful new redesigns and explosive cinematic specialties for each character.”

The Street Fighter series has always highlighted smart evolution and breathtaking innovation. Thanks to highly advanced graphics, you'll be able to feel the true dynamics and stress of each combat scenario. The new combat system, which includes controls that allow you to appreciate fighting and the back-and-forth of battle, will allow players to experience conflicts that are appropriate for their ability level.

7. Resident Evil 4

Released March 24, 2023

Resident Evil 4 maintains the original game's core while providing improved gameplay, a reinvented storyline, and new characters. Combining brilliantly realistic graphics to create the next survival horror game in which life and death, terror and catharsis collide.

As you may recall from the original Resident Evil 4, the camera perspective is in the third person. The sensation of solitude and eeriness from the first game is increased even further with improved graphics making it one of the best Ps5 games.

Furthermore, the controls have been updated to a modern standard, increasing the gameplay's intensity.

8. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Release date: winter 2023 for the PS5 exclusively

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is a PS5 exclusive thanks to the "graphical quality" and high-speed SSD of the new-gen platform.

Final Fantasy 7 series director Yoshinori Kitase revealed the news in a new interview with the Japanese journal Gamer (opens in new tab) (and translated by Gematsu (opens in new tab)). "It's limited to PlayStation 5 because of the graphical quality and SSD access speed, of course," Kitase stated of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

Loading stress is a major bottleneck because the quest takes place in a huge globe after escaping Midgar. "We believed we required the specifications of the PlayStation 5 to overcome that and easily tour the world," the Final Fantasy 7 series producer continued. Naoki Hamaguchi, the game's co-director, announced in 2021 that part two of the remake series would embrace the vastness of the globe.

9. Dead Island 2

According to an Amazon listing for the PS4 version, Dead Island 2 will be released on February 3, nine years after its initial announcement. That's obviously subject to change and could be a placeholder—this is Dead Island 2, after all—but it does tie up with previous hints from Embracer Group's CEO that the open-world zombie game will be launched in the company's fiscal year 2023.

Dead Island 2 has been reported to contain at least four playable characters since 2014, but the Amazon listing has increased it to six. With the brand-new skill system, players can re-spec swiftly and try out the craziest builds, letting you to fully modify the abilities of each Slayer.

10. Scar Above
