Call of Duty Warzone 2.0 went live just a few days ago and it didn’t take long for Warzone streamer Nick “Wagnificent” Wagner and his squad to set off the first nuke in the game. Since then several streamers have been able to replicate his feat, wiping out the whole of Al Mazrah. Here is how to get a nuke in Warzone 2.0.
How to detonate a nuke in Warzone 2
In order to get access to the nuke in Warzone 2, you will have to complete the Champion’s Quest, which reportedly appears in the game after you get five wins. You’ll get a notification of the quest while you wait to deploy.
Once this appears here are the steps you need to follow to complete the quest and set off the nuke in Warzone 2:
Open the map and look for the Champion’s Quest markers, land here to activate the contract.
Collect Beryllium, Plutonium, and Tritium, three materials necessary to set off the nuke. These will spawn with the white circle timer in the quest UI bar. You’ll be able to see their locations on the map.
Once you collect all three material, wait for the nuke to spawn. A plane will go across and deliver the payload somewhere along its path.
Head to the spawn site and arm the nuke.
Defend the site for two minutes and wait for the nuke to detonate.
Note that from the moment you land at any of the quest sites and initiate the Champion’s quest, you will have 27 minutes to assemble and denote the nuke.
Each of the elements that you collect to assemble the nuke give you a disadvantage while holding them. Collecting Beryllium highlights you with a crown icon for all players, making you an easy target to be hunted down. Plutonium causes damage to the player holding on to it over time and Tritium scrambles the radar for you and those around you. If you want to minimize the effects of Tritium, do not stay in close proximity with the person carrying it, so the rest of your squad will be able to access the radar.
Also note that every time you collect all three elements, it will initiate a Jailbreak which will redeploy all operators into the map.
