The Settlers: New Allies is one of the upcoming Ubisoft games you may not be familiar with. Previously, it was thought that this game would only be available for the PC, but now we know it will also be available on Xbox at some point.   In an earlier blog post, Ubisoft also announced the PC release date of February 17, 2023. Only that it's "in development" for the Xbox One, Xbox series X, along with the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Amazon Luna, is all that is known now about the Xbox version.   "True to its almost 30 years legacy, this new entry in the series combines in-depth build-up experience with real-time strategic battles. Choose among 3 unique factions and explore this whole-new world powered by state-of-the-art graphics. Your settlement has never looked so lively." There hasn't been a Settlers game in over a decade, and ‘The Settlers: New Allies’ is a franchise reboot.   Unfortunately, New Allies got off to a rocky start last year when it was delayed from its planned March 2022 release date due to poor feedback from a Closed Beta, which Ubisoft explained at the time as "becoming clear to our team that the quality wasn't yet in line with the team's vision." A year later, we're hopeful that the game will live up to expectations with its PC release and eventually make a successful transition to Xbox.

The Settlers Hits Major Delay Two Weeks Out from Release Date

The reboot of Ubisoft's city-builder RTS following player feedback from a recent beta test reveals The Settlers have been delayed indefinitely. The Settlers' social media accounts issued a statement explaMarch the 17e delay and how the game will now miss its original March 17 release date.   "As we reviewed this feedback, it became clear to our team that the quality was not yet in line with the team's vision," the development team explained. "As a result, we decided to postpone the game's release date." As a top priority, the Settlers development team will use this delay to "further improve the game and push quality." They will continue to update eager fans on the development and information on the "next milestones." The last update for The Settlers arrived in January when Ubisoft announced a March release date for PC via Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect. With the update came a gameplay video that showed off the crisp environments built in the Snowdrop engine. The publisher is creating a story-driven resource management game with clay-like visuals and factions to control. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait a bit longer to see the complete package. It should be a much better product for the delay, though.
