Getting full access to a bunch of awesome games is one of the best parts of having a PlayStation Plus subscription. But like anything good, it can't last forever.

Sony keeps switching up the game library, adding new titles while removing others. And this June, some real heavy hitters are getting the boot.

Popular Games Leaving Soon

On June 18th, a total of 15 games will be removed from the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogs.

The biggest name on the chopping block is Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5) for both PS5 and PS4.

This epic open-world crime adventure has been a PlayStation staple for years, so losing it will sting for many gamers.

Some other notable games going away on June 18th include the motorcycle racing sim MotoGP 23, the remastered SpongeBob platformer Battle for Bikini Bottom, and the superhero brawler DC League of Super-Pets.

Two games, the cyberpunk ninja runner Ghost Runner 2 and the adorable isometric adventure Tunic, will depart a bit earlier on June 4th. And the latest EA Sports soccer game, FC 24, is also scheduled to leave on June 18th.

Use It Before You Lose It

So what can you do about all these games disappearing? Well, if you have any of the free Essential games added to your library already, you get to keep them permanently.

But for the higher PlayStation Plus tiers, you'll lose access once they're removed.

That means now is the time to binge any of those departing games you've had your eye on! Go nuts in the madness of Los Santos in GTA 5.

Try for some easy platinum trophies in more straightforward titles. Or test your skills in the more challenging games while you still can.

The main thing is don't let those games go to waste. Get in there and play what you can before the window closes!

Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining

Losing access to great games is never fun, but try looking on the bright side. Sony is constantly freshening up the PlayStation Plus catalogs with new additions. Just last month, the critically-acclaimed Red Dead Redemption 2 joined the service.

While not the same kind of modern chaos as GTA 5, Red Dead 2's epic western story and world are absolutely worth exploring for anyone who missed it initially. So embrace the change and get ready for fresh gaming experiences!

The Takeaway

At the end of the day, saying goodbye is just part of the PlayStation Plus lifecycle. Games will always come and go as Sony updates the libraries.

The key is keeping tabs on what's leaving so you can take full advantage. That way, you'll never feel like you missed out on those must-play experiences.

Get cracking on GTA 5, MotoGP 23, and any other remaining games that catch your eye this month. Because pretty soon, they'll be gone for good from your PlayStation Plus subscription. But who knows what new adventures await just around the corner?
