Next, head to the Custodian’s Office in the West Wing. Use your new wristband to access the corridor past the Parlor. Inside the office, you will find the Wrench sitting on a desk near the typewriter save point. Do not leave without this tool—it is the key to accessing the Cold Storage room later.
Step 2: How to Get the Artificial Lungs (Garage Puzzle)

Finding the Transport Box Code
To find the code, you must visit the Lead Researcher’s Office in the East Wing. You will see a locked Puzzle Box on the desk. To open it:

- Use the Corrosive to melt the padlock on the Puzzle Box.

Unlocking the Box in the Garage
Return to the Garage and examine the Organ Transport Box. Follow the manual's complex sequence to pop the lid:
- Turn the main dial to "Hand" mode.
- Push the slider (to the right of the dial) up to the second line.
- Flip yellow toggle switches #2 and #5.
- Turn the main dial back to "Auto".
The box will open, granting you the Artificial Lungs. Be ready to fight immediately after—a zombie operating a construction digger will crash through the wall. Shoot the driver through the cage to survive.
Step 3: How to Find the Artificial Heart Location

Return to the Examination Room where the Organless Corpse is waiting. Interact with the open chest cavity of the cadaver.
Place both the Artificial Heart and Artificial Lungs into the chest. As soon as you do, the biometric clamps will release, but the puzzle isn't quite over. The influx of power reanimates the corpse! It’s a tight space, so use your shotgun or heavy pistol to put it down quickly. Once the enemy is defeated, loot the body to finally obtain the Level 2 ID Wristband.
